When he started “In Iraq for 365,” Fred Minnick became one of the original milbloggers. Under the penname “Sminklemeyer,” Fred wrote about the Iraq war and became somewhat famous in blogsphere.

Considered an expert on blogging, Fred was interviewed for What No One Ever Tells You About Blogging and Podcasting, an in-depth book published by Kaplan Business. Fred was also a panelist for the first Milblog conference.
